Looking back

This won't be new to anyone who visited this blog during my hike, but I wanted to put everything into one movie, including video footage, photos, and a soundtrack with music. So this was the end result. I created a DVD with this and all the original videos that I am giving to family and friends. If you would like a copy of the DVD let me know and I will try to send you one. This DVD was my gift to everyone who has shared this journey with me, by opening up their homes, sending me care packages, or just visiting the blog and keeping up with the trip.

This one was recorded Nov. 9 from the observation tower on Clingman's Dome.  The sound quality is poor because of the wind, so you'll have to turn the volume up.

Almost there.

I made it to Georgia.

Rob is meeting me at Woody Gap on Saturday to hike the last 20 miles.

After 142 days of hiking,
through 14 states,
2,174 miles,
I'll reach Springer Mountain on Tuesday, November 20.

I have mixed feelings about finishing. I'll miss it, but it will be so good to finally be with family again.

I have lots of photos and videos to share when I get a chance to upload them.

Well, I gotta get back in the woods.

Halloween hiking

In a couple of hours, another thru-hiker (Hedgehog) and I will be hitting the Trail wearing $0.99 Halloween masks.

Here is my second ever video update. In this one, Erin and I are lounging around on Whitetop Mountain. I made it on October 21.
